Tried
and tested in the car, bus and commercial vehicle industry over
many years, Sika adhesive bonding systems are now increasingly
used in the construction of special-purpose vehicles.
Besides many other benefits, elastic-bonded cabs of tractors
and construction equipment exhibit a considerably lower noise
level, thus providing more comfort and safety for the driver.
The body assemblies of modern fire engines, for example, consist
of self-supporting, elastic-bonded aluminium panels. None of
these panels performs a purely aesthetic function: each one
contributes to the structural strength of the vehicle.
Sika adhesive systems are also used for numerous structural
bonding applications in caravans, catering trailers, delivery
vans, ambulance vehicles, horse trailers, etc.
